Kansas City Barbecue Competition

The Kansas City Barbecue lasted 2 days, the 1st was a chilli competition and the 2nd day was the barbecue competition. We went to both. Here we are the 1st night checking out the vendors.

Note the wooden items next to Pat. The wood was beautiful.

Pasquale is seeing how fast and accurate he can pitch a baseball. On his 3rd try he got the ball in the mitt, shooting 45 mph and won a baseball hat.

Maddalena's 1st pitch was a bit wild - it went outside the netting into a chiili booth. They moved her up and she did well.

These are a couple of the racing cars that will be featured at the Havasu Racetrack.

Pasquale made it to the top of the rock wall while Maddalena enjoyed the arts and crafts section

There was entertainment for all to enjoy

The barbecue booths

fries and kettle corn - plenty of food galore

enjoying an ice cream from scoops

a family enjoying the music and festivities

the evening became very chilly. Maddalena was shivering but would not give up the ice cream

Pat is donning a new hairdo for us. How do like his new looks?

ShawnElise is engaged in a conversation with the garlic man

Patsy would enjoy this golf ball

a beautiful sunset

getting ready for Saturday's barbecue

the American flag waving in the wind

a dry rub fellow

This guy is confident that he will win the competition
