the fog lifting and a glorious day ahead of us. What a view!
this is Linda's little dog, Mac, a Yorkie just like my daughter, Sara, has. Isn't he cute? He even liked me. What will Moxie, C'era and Smokey think when I come home? I bet there will be a little jealousy.
Here is our host, Don, continuing on with his morning routine - sitting in the family room enjoying a cup of coffee as this sun comes up over the lake, watching the morning news and playing with his ipad. What a hard life Don has!
an octagon mosaic made using broken bone china teacups, pieces of glass, etc. To me the curvy lines represent the rapids in the river and the "V" formations are the mountains. Along the curvy lines are peoples names who were sponsors. Here we see patsy and Linda looking at the names and we found some that we knew.
a path runs along the river and one must use the suspension bridge to get to the other to continue his journey
18' tall Max the Moose, Dryden's local mascot, who stands at the Visitors Center - our whole way here we were warned about the danger of moose on the roads - quite common in this area
We had a nice dinner at the Riverview Lodge, which was built in 1910. It still has the great timbers, original oak floors and a massive brick fireplace to the left of us. From left to right; me, Patsy, Linda MacDonald and Don Svienson - who were are staying with - and Liann and Jim Sims, our Canadian friends we met in Arizona
