Last night all the boats were displayed on McCulloch Blvd - it was the largest & most expensive boats yet. Today they had the boat parade down the Channel but I was swimming at the time. I went down to Rotary Park this afternoon to see some of them practice. You can see the water spurting up behind two boats in the background - they are practicing for tomorrow's race.

LHC Bridgewater Links Executive Golf Course 2010

Lois & Bev discussing some strategies next the end of the course. I made a par on the 4th hole which lead to a par being made by each of us. We were very happy with our golf game.

Bev is teeing off with Queen's Bay Condo in the background. If we hadn't found Los Lagos, we would have stayed there. I like Los Lagos as we are very comfortable here & the people here are just wonderful. We really hit it lucky!!!

LHC Bridgewater Links Executive Golf Course 2010

Last Friday I went golfing with Lois, Bev & Sybil at the LHC Bridgewater Links 9 hole executive golf course, which abuts the Channel. It was a beautiful, sunny day in the low 90's - a bit hot in the sun. Thank goodness it was only 9 hole. Sybil is teeing off the 1st hole as Bev & Lois watch her great swing.

Easter in LHC with Sis, Greg & friends 2010

Are we going for seconds? There is so much good food there!!!

Easter in LHC with Sis, Greg & friends 2010

Wendy leading the line deciding how much of all that good food she would take. It was fabulous as everyone's best dish was here - really hard to choose what to put on the plate especially after all the really good appetizers. We don't lose weight here. Good thing we do water aerobics, walk & swim daily, etc. As you can see it was a perfect evening for a Dinner Party.

Look at all those great appetizers!!! Glenice & Sybil are helping to set things up while Tom & Keith are solving the problems of the world over a cold beer.

Easter in LHC with Sis, Greg & friends 2010

My cousins, Sis & Greg, visited us over the Easter holidays. They got here Friday night & left Monday morning. We tried to pack everything into the 2 full days that they were here. Saturday Greg went golfing with the guys on the London Bridge Golf League that Patsy belongs to. I took Sis on a tour of the city- going uptown to see all the little shops & pubs, London Bridage Golf Course, Sara Park, where the Speedway is & host the Bluegrass Festival & the Pyrothenic show each year, Rotary Park, the Aquatic Center, which was having a gun show that we were invited to, walking along the Channel, visiting the shops & seeing all the Spring Breakers & boats, riding over London Bridge to Turtle Bay fo lunch, many of the Spring breakers room in the condos there & also enjoy the Tiki Bar on the beach (we joined them & I think we really fit in) & stopping by the Women's Show there, up to the shopping center to get some supplies for the Easter dinner we were hosting, coming back along London Bridge Rd, which follows the water & seeing Windsor Parks, which hosts many events such as the Kansas City Barbeque Bakeoff, Travis Tritt & the Country singers. In the evening we went to dinner at Shugrues, which overlooks the Channel. Sunday we had about 30 over for Easter dinner. Beforehand Sis & I went to the Swap Meet & the pool; Patsy, Greg, Lumpy & Jim went to Emerald Green Canyon golfing. Everyone brought a dish so all we had to do was provide the place. It was a beautiful day & the food was plentiful & delicious. I got several great recipes. It was really nice to have Sis & Greg with us. They plan to come back next year for a longer period of time.
