I see a couple of names that I recognize on one of the lists of reults of the competition - Lapomarda and Haworth. Patsy won some money for closest to the hole on the 12th green.

The Follie, one of our reasons for going there. They put on a fabulous show. Their ages are 57 to 78 years old, but you would never believe it looking at them.

The first day we went to the Follies and to the Spa Casino later that night. The next day we went to the Annenberg Theater to see Menopause, another fabulous show. We spent the evening at Palm Fest. Palm Canyon Drive was closed to traffic. Vendors lined all of the drive, with some beautiful work done by artisans and all sorts of foods to tempt on palate.

On the way home we stopped to see the Parker Dam, which is the deepest dam in the world and also the southernmost point on Lake Havasu.

We each brought a gift. A number was called and you got to pick a gift, which was wrapped or bagged; therefore, one didn't know what she was selecting. I selected a beautifully painted wine glass. I was excited and showed the whole crowd.To my surprise, someone, whose number was called after mine, could steal my gift if they didn't want their gift. Pat, who is standing up, stole my gift. Then someone stole it from her. It was stolen many, many times. I couldn't believe it. I really didn't like the game. I even asked Betty to steal it if she didn't like her gift. She stole it only to have it stolen from her.
Here we have, left to right, Iona, who won St Patty's jewelry and Gay, who finally won my wine glass. Yes, another Gay but spelled differntly. I guess my name is more common than I thought. Gay is very gay with her newly acquired wine glass.
Finally we have, left to right, Patty and Mavis, who organized the luncheon. 
a beautiful day for the golf banquet, which the guys organized. It was held here at the pool. Above are some of the women, left to right, Bev, who helped me do the prep work for the banquet; Lianne, Linda, Marilyn, whose husband started the league,and Nancy. On the invitation was written Black Tie optional so some people dressed up.

This is Wendy in her evening gown. She took the Black Tie option seriously and with great enthusiasm as it gave her a chance to purchase a new outfit. She should have received the best gown award but her husband, who presented the awards for about that catagory so not one lady received an award. Baa Humbug!!!
This is Al, who started the league. He gets golf times for the guys so they can play as a group and is the go between for the league.
No awards for the women but we each got a beautiful rose. 
We began with a social hour and shrimp cocktail.

Prime rib cooked to a tee. For the main course, we had a choice of prime rib or chicken, salad, grilled veggies and baked potato. There was plenty; most too s doggy bag home.
