Palm Springs with Virginia 2011

First place to take a rest on the route to Palm Springs contains General Patton's Memorial Museum

Virginia happy to be in Palm Springs

Lots of little boutiques and restaurant on Palm Canyon Drive

The Follie, one of our reasons for going there. They put on a fabulous show. Their ages are 57 to 78 years old, but you would never believe it looking at them.

Virginia checking her camera at the Plaza Theatre, which houses the Follies

Pictures of the show - no cameras allowed inside

The first day we went to the Follies and to the Spa Casino later that night. The next day we went to the Annenberg Theater to see Menopause, another fabulous show. We spent the evening at Palm Fest. Palm Canyon Drive was closed to traffic. Vendors lined all of the drive, with some beautiful work done by artisans and all sorts of foods to tempt on palate.

Walk of the stars - thought this one was Elvis. Sorry!

On the way home we stopped to see the Parker Dam, which is the deepest dam in the world and also the southernmost point on Lake Havasu.
