St. Patty's Party LHC 2010
When things really got going, many hopped in clothes and all. Patsy and I slid out and went home. Patsy was in bed & I was watching TV when there was a knock on the door. Lumpy & Larry O ( the 2 in the foreground in the pool) were at the door dressed in a bathrobe & trash bag. They wanted us to go to a party - this was 10:30pm. I told them Patsy was in bed; they went in & woke him up. We went to Lois & Jim's party in our bathrobes. This was a first for us!

on the left is Fritz who was hired to play & sing for us. In the middle is a friend, Paul , who plays the wash tub - it sounds like a bass. To the right is another frined, Lorna, who plays the spoons. It was amazing at how good it sounded.

2010 Mexico visit with Christy, Wendy & Rose
Christy with her favorite vendors. What a buy she got on her Gucci purse, Louie Vitton & Rolex watches & Tiffany necklace. They even bought her a beer. What a good time! Just look at their faces! Christy got a lot of good deals today!!!

2010 Mexico visit with Christy, Wendy & Rose
Oh my! Wendy remembered that she hadn't taken her meds as we were in a rush to get going this morning. What a great way to wash the meds down!!! She sure did have a fabulous day bartering with the vendors.

LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
on the flyer for the Palm Springs Follies - this lady is 86 yrs old. The youngest is 67; they all look amazing. I wish that we could have taken pictures at the show. You'll have to go to see for yourself.
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
Got tickets to see the Canadian Tenors, who were on the Oprah show, Dr Phil & opening ceremonies for the Olympics. They were fabulous - each one was as good as the others & togther they were dynamite - not too bad looking either. We have a great Art Community here. We get shows just before they make it bigtime. Going to see Evita & Footloose next.

Patsy upset that there is no service & thinking, "Boy, what hot day; a cold would feel good right now!" What a disappointed look on his face! We'll have come come back again.

this is the sign that we see once we are about a mile down the dirt road. Note "not regularly maintained," you really have to want a cold one to travel down or could it be your own curiosity as to who is there. The Oasis is only open weekends until sundown as we found out when we got there. This was a Thursday so we had the place to ourselves. When my son & SE were here, they went on a Sunday & there must have been about 500 people at the Oasis. The do have live music also & a good size dance floor
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
walking up the road to go the Oasis in the Desert, literally a bar in the middle of the desert, we first encounter this little church, maybe used for redemption after spending long hours at the Oasis. You travel a long, winding dirt road to reach the Oasis
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
this is one of the wild, little bunnies that comes to visit us daily. Kathy was all excited & tried to give him a carrot but he ran off. Apparently he isn't as friendly as the burros
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
Kathy & Jean just missed the Kansas City Barbeque Cookoff with contestants from as far off as Texas that was hosted here in Lake Havasu the weekend before. 70,000 people attended the event. It was quite a success & will now bw a yearly ritual. The next best thing was going for ribs at Mudsharks, which is a brew pub. The mouthwatering meat just fell off the ribs & the beers were just the right touch to make it a great meal!

On the way home from Oatman, I took another route, which through us to Laughlin, NV - a mini Las Vegas. Needless to say, we weren't the big winners. I was up $2.50 but ended up losin it so I lost $3 to the machines. Kathy & Jean had similar scenarios, but we enjoyed the thrill of the game.

This little fellow came up to Kathy amongst a crowd of people just to spend some quality time with her. I think Kathy has found a friend for life! Sorry, Jean, you are now taking a second seat in Kathy's life. This one has charmed her!

Kathy & Jean walking down the street with one of their new found friends. He really likes them as do many of the others!!!
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
Kathy & Jean felt that they could better communicate with their new friends if they looked like them. Do they pass the test? They sure are bhaving a great time!

the Oatman Hotel restaurant where we ate. They also have musicians, who sing & entertain the the diners. Patrons are able to autograph & staple money on the walls, etc. Do you see ours? They supply markers & staple guns. How much money do you think is here?
LHC with Kathy and Jean 2010
this is a burro that Kathy became very friendly with. In fact he liked Kathy so much that she received a little nip on her boob - Kathy screamed, " I have been violated by a donkey." That immediately drew quite a crowd around us
